Kauai Restaurants
The beauty of Kauai is not limited to its ocean, mountains, rainforests and waterfalls; it extends all the way to the wonderful Cuisine you will find here. Combined with the Aloha spirit, the food at all the Kauai restaurants I have reviewed here will add to your treasured memories of the island. Great places to eat are spread out all over the Island and most are worth a bit of travel.
There is a rich international influence and a number of restaurants offer you fusion-food; a blend of local cuisine and Mediterranean that is very successful. You will find more than enough international, award winning restaurants offering you a fine dining experience to remember; but there are three things you need to do whilst you are on Kauai:
Visit one or two of the real authentic Kauai restaurants, some may not look so great on the outside but it’s an experience of a lifetime. The beautiful aroma’s wafting towards you from the kitchen will convince you that you are in for a huge treat. Where to find them? The second thing you need to do is to attend a luau. This is a cultural feast of traditional food combined with a spectacular musical extravaganza. Make sure you book one of these to experience the rich cultural history of Kauai.
Last but not least, go visit Bubba's Burgers. Just do it okay.
The restaurants are generally child-friendly and the dress-code is island style, casual – even if the interior is grand. Oh, and remember, most restaurants don’t serve dinner after eight; going to bed early is obviously part of this wonderful, laid-back lifestyle.
