Haena Beach Park

Haena Beach Park area provides lovely grassy areas for a great picnic, a beautiful beach but not good for swimming. The sand is coarse, at least it comes off easily! Very dangerous conditions as there are no protection in the form of a reef and the beach forms a steep drop off just offshore.


Surfing is great, but be warned, only for the expert surfer who knows the local conditions. Restroom facilities, picnic tables are available but there are no lifeguards. From Lihue Airport it is a one hour drive to Ha’ena. The Maniniholo dry cave across the road is a great tourist attraction and definitely worth seeing while you are there.
